私が以前住んでいた自治体では、外国人の子供さんをサポートするためのボランティアがありました。学校での日本語授業についていくのが難しい外国人の子供たちの宿題のサポートなどを放課後などに行うのが仕事でした。活動するにあたり、子供たちの母国語を理解できると意思疎通がしやすいので望ましいですが、実際のところ、英語圏ではない子供さんが多く、またフルタイムで本職を持つ私には、活動時間も合わなかったため、私は応募しませんでした。その自治体では様々のボランティア向けの研修会があり充実していました。このような日本語のボランティアをしている方や、今後ボランティアになりたいと希望されている方向けに、日本語講師勉強会も開かれていて、とても役立つと思いました。興味のある方には、オススメしたいボランティア活動です。
The city I used to live in was supporting children from overseas. Volunteers were helping those who had difficulty catching up with school classes and homework due to language problems. It was better when volunteers understand the same languages as children, but the majority was not from English backgrounds but other languages. Volunteers had to work after school. Because of this, I did not apply for it. The timing did not fit me. The city offered a variety of workshops and training for volunteers as well. They were open to those who are interested in becoming one in the future.For those who are interested, I would like to recommend this role.
