今回の作業はケールの収穫でした。だいたい15センチか、それ以上に成長しているケールの葉を収穫しました。腰を曲げての姿勢で収穫を続けたり、畑の中の狭い足場の悪いところを移動したり、ケールの入ったコンテナをかついでトラックに乗せたりなど、たいへんな作業でもありますが、これまでケールの成長に関わってきて、それを収穫できるのは、とても嬉しいことです。
I helped pick kale leaves this time. I picked the ones that were 15 cm long or bigger. I bent down to pick them, walked down the narrow furrows, and carried containers full of kale leaves from the field to a truck. It is not easy work but so much fun to harvest.
