スキーの仕事をしていると、毎年学校団体の生徒さんが学校行事の一環としてやってきます。50人程度から200人程度まで、規模は様々です。学校団体では中学生、高校生が一番多いです。私自身も班を預かりますが、だいたい10名から14名くらいを一度に預かります。2泊3日程度一緒に滑っていると、まったくできなかった子供たちが最終日には頂上まで行けるようになったり、さすが子供たちはコツをつかむのが早いなと思います。そして体力もある。やっと名前を覚えた頃にはお別れ。またいつかお会いしましょう！ということでバスをお見送りしています。1ヶ月くらいすると子供たちからのメッセージ寄せ書きの色紙や、お手紙が届くことがあります。このようなプレゼントは私だけでなくスキー講師全員、本当に嬉しいです。そして励みになります。まわりの仲間の先生たちのニンマリした顔を見ると、本当に喜んでいることがわかります。
As I work in a ski school, many school kids come to the ski resort as part of their school programs. Depends on the school size, groups of 50 to 200 junior and senior high school students take ski lessons. Most programs are three days and two nights. When I give ski lessons, my group consists of 10 to 14 students at a time. As they practice day by day, they learn so quickly. They have physical strength. On the third day, they can go to the top of the mountain. By the time I finally remember their names, I have to say Sayonara or goodbye, see you again, and see them off leaving by bus. About one month later, I receive messages from them.I often see my colleagues are grinning as they read them. I find that we are all happy to receive such gifts, and it is encouraging us.
