空港案内は、ボランティアの間でも、たいへん人気のあるのお仕事の1つです。空の旅で来日したお客様で、乗り換えなどの隙間時間に無料で空港内を案内したり、時間のゆとりのあるお客様には空港の外を無料で案内したりします。ボランティアは2名1組になり、外国人の方を案内します。空港内の銀行やお店を案内したり、空港の外に行くことを希望される方には、電車などの交通機関を利用して移動します。お土産屋さんや観光スポット、レストランに案内など、来日した方のご要望に応じて、できる範囲で対応します。外国人の方と直接お話をする機会があり、とても楽しいボランティアです。私自身もこのボランティアのことを知った時に、ぜひやりたいと思いました。週末だけでもできるだろうと思ったからです。募集を探したところ、すでにたくさんのボランティアスタッフがいるため、募集は中止となっていて、私は応募を断念しました。今後また空きが出れば募集がかかると思います。興味のある方はぜひチャレンジしてみてください。
Airport guide is one of the most popular jobs volunteers would enjoy. There is a free guide desk in an airport where volunteers stand by. Whenever tourists from overseas visit the desk during their transit time, a pair of volunteers would give a free guide inside and outside the airport. Depends on the request, they take them to banks, shops, restaurants, sightseeing spots, or souvenir shops. Sometimes they use public transportations to take them outside the airport. Volunteers would enjoy talking with people from overseas. It is a lot of fun. I searched on the internet if I could apply for the role as I was interested. Unfortunately, the organization already had enough volunteers, and therefore, they were not taking new applications at that time. They will open the position again when need.
