私は自身の住んでいる地域の国際交流協会の英語ボランティアに登録しています。登録していると、英語ボランティア研修に参加するチャンスがあります。これは自治体やボランティア団体によって違いはありますが、私の登録している団体では年に何回か研修会の案内があります。平日開催のことが多く、なかなかフルタイムの仕事を持つ人には参加が難しいのですが、私は有給休暇を取ってでも研修会に参加することがあります。ほとんどの場合、受講料無料か、資料代程度の費用で参加できます。いろいろな英語のレベルの方が参加するので、必ずしも自分の英語力にマッチするかは、わかりません。でもボランティアとして活動するにあたり、役に立つ情報は得られると思いますし、同じ思いでボランティアをしている人たちと出会うこともでき、情報交換の場でもあり、おすすめです。
I belong to an International Association of the local area where I live as an English volunteer. All volunteers registered to the Association have opportunities to attend training such as English training held by the Association a couple of times a year. More often, the courses are open on weekdays, and therefore it is not easy for me to attend such training as I work full-time during weekdays. It does not always match my English skill. Course levels are different depends on the time. Yet, I rarely take paid holidays to participate in the training as they are helpful when volunteering. I learn many things, meet people who have the same volunteer spirit, and the opportunity is good to exchange information. They are usually free of charge or require a small cost for printed handouts. Depends on the volunteer organizations or groups, there might be no training held, yet I recommend registration to become one.
